Cloud9 advances to the ESL Pro League Season 16 playoffs

Cloud9 has guaranteed itself first place in Group D. According to the results of the fourth game day Cloud9 made it to the playoffs of ESL Pro League Season 16.

Cloud9 won all four group stage matches, and as a result, none of the remaining teams can be ahead of C9. Even if Cloud9 loses the last fifth match against Team Liquid and FURIA Esports wins against Evil Geniuses, Cloud9 will retain first place by beating FURIA Esports in a head-to-head match.

Movistar Riders, with a 0-4 stats, are guaranteed not to make the playoffs.

The group winner will advance to the playoff quarterfinals, with the 2nd and 3rd place teams starting in the playoffs from the first round.

Playoff games will begin September 27 and run through October 2.
